Britney Spears Armed And Dangerous In 'Criminal' Pics

Photos from London video set show Brit and real-life BF Jason Trawick making a getaway.

Britney Spears has landed in London and she's taking the city by storm.

Since arriving in the U.K., the singer has been hard at work on the set of her "Criminal" music video, according to photos that hit the Web. The pics reveal there will be a cameo from a super special guy in her life.

In one photograph, a smiling Spears holds a gun as she leaves a convenience store with her real-life boyfriend Jason Trawick behind her. Other photos show Spears inside the store tucking the gun in the waistband of her pants, and Trawick carrying groceries and pulling Brit by the arm.

In a chat with AOL, the pop star explained that it was her idea to shoot the clip in London. "I'm shooting a video [and] I've never shot on location out of the country of America for a video," she said. "So, it should be very interesting. It was partly my idea ... to see if it could to happen, and they were like, 'Yeah, it's a great idea,' so we did it."

The Femme Fatale singer also opened up about her busy career, including the European leg of her tour which kicks off this month. So, how does she stay tour-ready at all times? "Sometimes it is [a lot of work], but I genuinely love what I do and I get on a routine and a schedule to keep me motivated and inspired to have the energy I need for the show," she said. "A lot of cardio, a lot of running and just try and eat clean."

Britney added that it's all about balancing motherhood and career. "You just have to find your balance and niche in your life," she said, crediting her mom and nanny with giving her a helping hand. "It's a process you learn to figure out."

Are you excited for Britney Spears' "Criminal" video? Tell us in the comments!

It?s A Boy For Mike Myers & Wife Kelly Tisdale! Guess What They Named Him?

Congratulations are in order for Myke Myers and his wife, Kelly Tisdale. Kelly gave birth to their son two weeks ago. It is the first child for both. Any guesses on the boy’s moniker? Wayne? Shrek? Austin? Hah! Find out here! Introducing…Spike Myers! Cool name, huh? The parents are said to be ‘ecstatic’ on the arrival of their little bundle of joy, according to Myers’ rep. Kelly and Mike started dating in 2006, following his divorce from ex-wife, Robin Ruzan, whom he was married to for 12 years. We found out about the newly formed couple thanks to their vacation in Hawaii, where they were seen on the Island. Back then, Kelly told the National Enquirer, “We’re actually surprised you guys didn’t find out about us sooner.” In the fall of 2010, Mike and Kelly were married in a private ceremony with their closest friends and family on hand to celebrate, but news of their nuptials did not become public until March of this year. In May, the couple confirmed that Kelly was pregnant. Kudos to them for keeping their private life…private. As a celebrity, obviously you can’t shield yourself completely from the prying eyes of the world, but so [...]

Edward Green and Hardy Amies

EGHA_FeatureButton

Back on that hectic day in February and in the relative tranquil of Savile Row, Claire Malcolm showed her debut collection for the historic and royally patronised house Hardy Amies. For AW11, the design talent explored a period of Sir Hardy?s life in which he was a particularly prominent figure on the European society circuit in the 1930s. In a widely acclaimed show, and in the true spirit of Sir Hardy himself, no detail was left unconsidered. The show unveiled the fruits of a collaboration with Edward Green. In a happy marriage between two quintessentially English companies that pride themselves on quality and style, the offspring were particularly stunning. The range, developed closely with Malcolm, infuses classic Edward Green quality and the dashing Hardy Amies? sartorial spirit. Four Edward Green classics have been reworked in a palette of blues, greys and burgundies to complement the catwalk collection.

To mark the launch of the covetable collaborative which are now available in Matches and Edward Green's Jermyn Street shop, we sat down with Edward Green's very own Euan Denholm. Here we talk about the collaboration, take a closer look at the shoes themselves and learn what the Jermyn Street space has in store for us...

Edward Green for Hardy Amies range
Edward Green for Hardy Amies. Introducing the Midnight/ Twilight Falkirk brogue; Black/ slate Piccadilly loafer; Burgundy / old rose Shannon boot; and Slate Chelsea oxford.

SS: What brought these two quintessentially English companies together for this showcase of craftsmanship and design?
Euan Denholm: The idea started because Hardy Amies wanted to have beautiful shoes for their London Fashion Week show. They came to us to see what we might be able to do for them. There's a wonderfully dynamic new team at Hardy Amies who are really looking to bring a fresh angle to Savile Row. So it seemed right to jointly develop the capsule collection and offer them beyond the catwalk show.

SS: How would you describe Edward Green? And Hardy Amies?
Euan Denholm: More than anything else Edward Green is defined by a dedication to craftsmanship. We've been making shoes since 1890 and the workshop in Northampton is very much our heart. We've been asked to make shoes by many leading brands over the years because they know our quality is the best. Our own shoes have a recognisably English look - but always an elegant English look. Even a rugged shoe has a refinement to it.

Hardy Amies is of course a Savile Row tailor - established by Sir Hardy who designed dresses for the Queen and really personified a certain sartorial spirit in his own age. Today, his successor Claire Malcolm is bringing a new creativity to Savile Row and her ready-to-wear collection has been bought by many of the world's leading fashion boutiques. English tailors haven't always found it easy to evolve in the way that French couture houses have done but Hardy is doing a very good job of bringing their tailoring to a new audience.

Chelseas, Edward Green for Hardy Amies
The Chelsea

SS: The range reimagines four classic Edward Green styles. Could you tell us a little about the original to Chelsea, Falkirk, Piccadilly and Shannon.
Euan Denholm: The Chelsea has long been our best-selling shoe - this version is on the slim 82 last which makes for a perfectly balanced cap-toed oxford. It has our signature 'swan's neck' - a detail drawn from the 1930s.

The Falkirk is a brogue with a thistle pattern. In it's usual browns it's a heavier country brogue but the colour palette of blues and greys gives a very different look - the juxtaposition makes for a shoe of real character.

I think the Shannon's probably my favourite of the set. It bears a striking resemblance to the old RAF marching boot in our archive. We've produced it in black and burgundy with different suedes but the two levels of polish in this capsule give it a new life.

The Piccadilly is our best-selling loafer - it's popular in black and chestnut. There's also a lovely very classic chestnut version with a twill apron - similar to another loafer - the handsewn Harrow - that used to be a favourite of the Duke of Windsor.

Edward Green for Hardy Amies loafer
The Duke of Windsor's favourite reimagined. The Piccadilly loafer in slate/ black.

SS: How were these classics reworked to compliment Hardy Amies' AW11 collection? Could you talk us through the design dynamic and working relationship with Claire Malcolm?
Euan Denholm: Claire chose the patterns that she felt best complimented her clothes and reworked them in the collection's colour palette. We'd recently started doing some shoes in midnight blue but the light slate was a new leather which worked really well with the greys of her clothes. Once we found the right base colours we experimented a little with the polishing and Claire liked the toecaps polished down to a darkened shine. It gives them a certain wow. I remember that there were three of us over at the house on Savile Row polishing and polishing until we had all the shoes just right the Saturday before the catwalk show.

Midnight/ Twilight Falkirk
The Falkirk in midnight twilight.

SS: What's next for Edward Green?
Euan Denholm: As well as the Hardy Amies collaboration, we've got some other really interesting new shoes in for AW2011. The Harrogate and Oakdale are two very elegant longwings - a derby and oxford respectively - very classic EG but in a full range of our burnished calf leathers. Then there's the Lakes Collection - three country inspired shoes with solid storm welts in beautiful cordovans and coloured country calfs - I think that they'd be the ones to catch the eye of many a Style Salvage reader. In the shop everyone is most excited by the Ullswater brogue in navy country calf.

If you come into the shop on Jermyn Street you can expect to see plenty of other new shoes too going forward. We're making more limited orders which allows us to bring in regular new models - so expect to see a green suede capsule later in the autumn.

Edward Greens will be available at Spencer Hart's new flagship on Brook Street in Mayfair. It's very much Rat Pack cool. So expect to see a dark sophisticated set which would tempt Frank Sinatra.

Edward Green for Hardy Amies: Shannon range
My personal favourite...the Shannon range.
----------

As Euan Denholm talked me through the collaboration and pointed out the key designs for the coming season he invited me up to see their workshop for myself. Of course, I jumped at the chance and will soon make the trip up to Northampton. However, to whet my appetite further, he sent through a selection of shots that he himself took. The workshop continues to make shoes according to the same simple philosophy Edward Green laid out in 1890 ? never compromise the integrity of the craftsman. Where necessary their shoes are still hand-sewn with a pig?s bristle; they are still hand cut by a ?shoe clicker? who makes his own knife; they are still Goodyear welted, allowing them to be remade again and again, gaining character as the years go by. Denholm's photography captures this spirit and demonstration of craft wonderfully.

VMAs Drive Record-Breaking 10 Million Tweets

Beyoncé's pregnancy and Lady Gaga's over-the-top fashion just a few of the Twitter Trends.
By Eric Ditzian

Beyoncé set the record for the most mentions on Twitter per second with 8,868
Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images

Lady Gaga tweeted about her Little Monsters. Kim Kardashian tweeted about Beyoncé's baby-bump secret. Those Twitter updates and millions more made the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards the most tweeted-about awards show ever.

In total, the VMA Pre-Show and main show drove 10 million tweets, according to newly released numbers for the social-networking site.

That awards-show record was just one that the VMAs shattered. Beyoncé set the record for the most mentions on Twitter per second with 8,868, helping make the show the most-watched broadcast in MTV history, pulling in 12.4 million viewers. Pre-show viewership also set a record, and MTV Digital saw its highest VMA day ever on Sunday with show content attracting 2 million unique visitors, an increase of 33 percent year over year.

Twitter helped make it all happen. As the black-carpet pre-show kicked off inside the JW Marriott in downtown Los Angeles, the trend #whatwillgagawear lit up the social-networking site and became one of the longest running of the night. During the show itself, over half of the worldwide Twitter Trends were connected to the VMAs — and at times they took over eight or nine of the top 10 trends. The trends also included shout-outs to Justin Bieber and Joe Jonas, and the two simple statements, #DemiYouAreBeautiful and BEYONCE IS PREGNANT.

All that attention had an added benefit for the pregnant pop star: Her song "Love on Top" leapt into the iTunes top five after she performed it onstage at the Nokia and revealed her baby bump to the world.

The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards have wrapped, but the real action is just getting started! Stick with MTV News for winners, fashion pics, video and behind-the-scenes stories about everything that went down. Visit VMA.MTV.com for the latest.

Eva Longoria's Colorful Visit to ?Jimmy Kimmel Live?

Stepping out for a media appearance, Eva Longoria dropped by ?Jimmy Kimmel Live? in Los Angeles last night (September 27).

Sporting a teal chiffon dress, the ?Over Her Dead Body? actress signed autographs for fans and posed for pictures as she made her exit.

During her interview with Kimmel, Eva chatted about having dinner with President Barack Obama at a fundraiser the previous evening.

?It?s a special privilege to meet our Commander in Chief, and I?m a big Obama supporter no matter what he?s been through. He?s been beaten up these past couple of years.?

?He?s been very receptive for me, because I?m a big advocate for Latino issues. So he?s been a big listener and he?s done a lot of coalitions and a lot of roundtables regarding what we want changed.?

Kimmel asked, ?When you say he?s a big listener are you making fun of his ears?? ?No!? ?He keeps getting beaten up lately because there?s such an extremist movement happening. And it?s very dangerous because it?s not the character of America. It?s really under attack. And he?s been governing under a state of emergency since the time he went into office. So we haven?t seen him do what he can do.?

From there, Jimmy mistakenly asked Eva, ?This is the last season of ?Dancing with the Stars.? Why is that?? to which she replied, ?I?m not on ?Dancing with the Stars!? Kimmel quickly recovered, corrected himself, and asked Ms. Longoria about her final months working on ?Desperate Housewives.?

Mac Miller To Drop LP Early If Fans Nab 100,000 Pre-Orders

If Mac gets 50,000 pre-orders, Blue Slide Park rapper will donate $50,000 to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
By Rob Markman

Mac Miller
Photo: MTV News

Mac Miller sure is impatient. Yes, he has already secured a November 8 release date for his independent debut album, Blue Slide Park, but that isn't enough for the Pittsburgh MC. With the album now available for pre-order on iTunes and other digital outlets, the "Donald Trump" rapper has devised a three-tier plan that will give his fans the ability to push up the 16-track LP's release.

"I want to get my fans my album. We have a date, November 8. Blue Slide Park, it's coming out, but I would love it if we could get it out earlier," Mac told MTV News. "So what we're doing is, we're gonna go hard with the pre-orders."

The expectations are high, but if Mac can get 25,000 pre-orders of BSP he will release the album's title track to hold fans over.

If Miller surpasses 50,000 pre-orders before the album drops, he will donate $50,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Reaching 25,000 or 50,000 won't be easy, but should Blue Slide Park hit 100,000 pre-orders before November 8, Mac promises to release the album immediately. If they got 100,000 by the end of this interview, the album would come out right after, Miller promised.

"I just want people to get the album as quickly as possible," he said.

"So if they go hard and go crazy — 'cause you never know what my fans will do, they're so unpredictable — if they go hard and get 100,000 and make history, I'm just gonna give them the album right away because that's what they deserve and that's what they would deserve anyway."

Miller is currently on tour in support of the album, which he has dedicated to his favorite childhood park, known most for its blue slides. "Blue Slide Park is a park in Pittsburgh we grew up at," Miller told MTV News about the album title's significance. "Being 2, going down slides and then being 6, playing Little League and hanging out there, then being older, coming back there to drink and smoke and party, running from the cops. And now going back there just to chill out and drink a beer."

Will you pre-order Mac Miller's Blue Slide Park? Let us know in the comments!

T.I.'s First Post-Prison Track Is 'Hot,' DJ Drama Promises

Tip's friend and collaborator tells MTV News he's 'excited for the fans to hear it sometime real soon.'
By Rob Markman

Photo: Robyn Beck/AFP/Getty Images

T.I. is almost home. On Thursday, the Trap Muzik MC will have completed his current prison bid for a probation violation that stems from a September 2010 arrest for drug possession. His longtime collaborator DJ Drama looks forward to brighter days.

"Me and Tip have been friends, working together for almost a decade now, so we know what we gotta do. It's really time to get to work and get to the music," said Drama, who has present during T.I.'s recent recording sessions that he's been allowed to hold since being in a halfway house. "So I'm just happy when I was in the studio with him to really see where his focus was at musically and I was excited for the fans to hear it sometime real soon."

T.I.'s imprisonment was not only a blow to the hip-hop community, but it also left a void in his hometown of Atlanta. "It's always a good feeling," Drama said of the prospect of having Tip free yet again. "When somebody like Tip, who is so influential in the city, isn't around, we all feel it in a lot of ways. I look forward to it; I'm happy, man. Bottles on me."

Drama couldn't confirm whether the Grand Hustle CEO will make an appearance at this Saturday's taping of the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta. It would be fitting that he make his return on BET's stage, but it's also where T.I.'s legal drama began, when he was arrested on federal gun charges in October 2007 just hours before that year's ceremony.

The DJ, who is preparing the release of his own album, Third Power, was able to talk about Tip's first post-prison track. The song, which is produced by rapper/producer Big K.R.I.T., was supposed to drop Monday but has not yet surfaced. "The record is hot," Drama teased. "Big K.R.I.T. deserves it. He's been working for a long time. So they're both fans of each other, so sh-- is definitely gonna be a nice sound for the ear."

What are you expecting from T.I.'s new music? Let us know in the comments!

"The Ides of March" Premieres in Los Angeles

Inching closer to its big theatrical debut, the stars of "The Ides of March" stepped out for their film's premiere in Beverly Hills, California on Tuesday night (September 27).

Looking his usual dapper self, leading man George Clooney opted for a sleek black suit as he was joined at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater by his A-list co-stars Evan Rachel Wood, Marisa Tomei and Ryan Gosling.

Also on hand to support the upcoming picture's west coast debut screening was George's latest lady Stacey Keibler, as well as "127 Hours" actress Kate Mara.

While recently talking about his latest project, Clooney offered up his thoughts of why the film has earned such widespread appeal, telling press, "Everywhere it's played, they think it's got something to do with their politics."

He added, "When I had to pitch this movie, I would say, 'OK, here's why it's universal and not just an American film about delegate counts.' I pitched the idea of a morality tale."

Menswear Day Preview... Shaun Samson SS12

Shaun Samson's SS12 lineup

In precisely one weeks time we will be half way through a packed Menswear Day schedule. We would have Asd been amazed by Anderson, seduced by Shannon, dazzled by Dalton and moved by MAN. As we countdown to the big day, it is the latter that is causing our blogging pulse to race. Since its inception and thanks to the support and sponsorship of Topman and Fashion East, MAN has created a whole new momentum in the London menswear scene. Season after season, it grows in profile and importance but the SS12 lineup marks an energised beginning. The talent showcase is all about heralding what?s new in menswear but this lineup is one of the most exciting to date. Martine Rose shows for the third time and is joined by two newcomers, Matthew Miller and Shaun Samson. Now, regular readers will know that Miller is no newbie in our eyes. His work has impressed us for a number of years now and after capturing the collective imagination with his AW11 presentation, his addition to the show lineup marks a much deserved step forward for the design talent. Samson on the other hand is a recent discovery.

Having stood out with his seamless MA collection of harmoniously fused knits and plaids earlier this year, we met up the California born graduate to learn more about his needle punch felting technique. As we were talked through the design process of his AW11 collection, we could not help ourselves from peeking at what he had in store for us on Menswear Day. Here, we take a look at how colourful Mexican blankets sparked a renewed love affair with his homeland and accompany his words with a few studio shots....

"I was initially really attracted to these Mexican blankets. They are everywhere in California. However, it wasn't until I moved here and away from them for a couple of years before returning that I saw them in a new light. I'd never think to put these colours together but for some reason they work.  They are made in the traditional way by Mexicans and use whatever yarns they have at that time. No two blankets are the same which is great except for when it comes to production but I'll figure it out. The blankets are so nice themselves that I can't over design the garment."

" From the blankets, I reminisced about growing up in California; the surfers, the grunge and the gangster rap movement."
Shaun Samson on the evolution of design influences from the blankets.

"I'm also experimenting with one off pieces that I won't produce, mixing vintage garments and pushing the aesthetic that bit more"
